Wedding Photographer Gosfield Hall Essex – Mel & Jake’s stunning Day!
I was super excited to photograph Mel & Jake’s wedding in the Spring; although with the blazing sunshine and cloudless sky, it felt more like a peak season Summer wedding. wedding photographer gosfield hall essex
Gosfield Hall is a stunning Georgian manor house set in picturesque rural Essex. One of its most architecturally impressive and spacious rooms is the bridal suite, aka The Rocco, which truly takes your breath away and simply has to be seen to be believed! With its marble pillars and floor to ceiling mirrors which beautifully reflect into each other, it really is a bridal party’s paradise and a wedding photographer’s dream. wedding photographer gosfield hall essex wedding photographer
Mel must be one of the most easy going brides that I have ever photographed. So incredibly clam and she looked so beautiful, her make-up was picture perfect and she looked utterly amazing in her feminine off the shoulder dress and long trailing veil. Plus, there were some very familiar faces in the bridal prep crowd, which made for a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere! The bridesmaids all looked gorgeous in their very elegant, lace sleeved, dusky pink dresses.
The ceremony was held at St Catherine’s Church, which is literally a stone’s throw from the mansion and the bridal party were majestically transported there by horse and carriage. When I arrived, Jake, the groomsmen and the guests were waiting with great anticipation and when Mel arrived with her father Tim by her side, I could feel everyone’s warmth and excitement. Jake’s expression when he set eyes on Mel …. need I say more! wedding photographer gosfield hall essex
As a wedding photographer, one of the most creative and enjoyable parts of the day for me are the Mr & Mrs romantic photos. Gorgeous couple, stunning backdrop, what more could a wedding photographer ask for! There were so many wonderful opportunities and places of such great scenic beauty. I could have spent literally hours photographing them, but with just 20 minutes in hand and our guests already missing their newlyweds, we smoothly but swiftly worked the areas, capturing some lovely natural shots as well as some more planned ones which enabled us to capitalise on some of the most stunning architecturally impressive areas inside of the Mansion.
Some of my favourite romantic photos of Mel & Jake were the ones taken by the huge Georgian windows and then the natural photos of them walking together, through the woodland area of the grounds, holding hands whilst the sun was setting. To see these images, keep scrolling down through the Gallery.
The speeches ..… Jake is quite reserved and shy and he just delivered the most beautifully emotive speech to his now beautiful wife Mel. The wedding guests were brilliant; giving great cheers of encouragement followed by a lot of joshing an jibbing with those awkward but hilarious jokes and memories. A perfect combination of emotion, encouragement, spontaneous humour and entertainment. Tears, laughter and emotional hugs all captured and recorded, so that they can be relived over and over again for years to come1
I couldn’t have wished for a more wonderful couple and fantastic group of family and friends. So welcoming, friendly and fun. Such an enjoyable wedding to cover and although it was a very long 15 hour day, it was a real honour to have been chosen to be their photographer for their wonderful day.
Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Davis!
