Louise & Sam’s magical wedding day

Wedding Photographer Canterbury Cathedral and Eastwell Manor Ashford bride and groom romantic in the cloches

Wow what a wonderful day, thoroughly enjoyed photographing this wedding from beginning to end.  The bride and groom looked stunning and the venues they chose matched perfectly, and as their photographer, how could I feel anything other than ecstatic at the prospect of photographing their wonderful wedding day.

I arrived at Eastwell Manor at 10.30am, with a full day ahead of me, finishing at around 8.30pm.  The weather was a little grey with a some drizzle, but this in no way affected the excitement and the beauty which shone through during the course of the day. wedding photographer eastwell manor

Eastwell Manor for the bridal preparation, there are so many opportunities, and I really wanted to be creative, so starting with the details … shoes, dress, perfume, flowers … delightful, the lighting was perfect. Eastwell Manor have gorgeous bridal suites with long ornate mirrors, making for perfect reflection shots.

So next stop one of Kent’s greatest landmarks, Canterbury Cathedral. The Ceremony was held in the Crypt, with no flash permitted, stillness was the key here.  I wanted to capture the colours, the light, the stonework and the atmosphere. highly recommended wedding photographer eastwell manor ashford

After the Ceremony we headed for the Cloisters which,  all those years ago would have been the centre of monastic life. This carries a presence and mood which was perfect for the romantic portraits. I was truly excited, the shards of light seeping blissfully between the pillars, beautifully highlighted the bride and groom, the images look like paintings.

So after the breathtaking Cathedral we headed back to Eastwell Manor for the confetti, group shots and more romantic bride and groom reportage photography. The speeches were both sentimental and funny and the first dance was touching. Earlier I had noticed a couple of lovely opportunities for some night time romantic photography, so I whisked the bride and groom towards the oudoor lighting and finished with some intimate captures. amazing wedding photography eastwell manor ashford

This is what the bride and groom had to say after they viewed their wedding gallery … best wedding photographer eastwell manor ashford

“Hi Jo,
We cannot thank you enough for these beautiful pictures! We are over the moon with them all, you captured our whole day so perfectly and looking back over these pictures has bought back so many happy memories (and even some nervous feelings!) that I know we will treasure for all of our married lives.  Your hard work, professionalism and natural creativity shines through every image.  The pictures in the crypt have come out so wonderfully, we truly are thrilled with every photo.

THANK YOU!
