Sam and Fariar – Hever Castle

I was extremely excited to be covering Sam and Fariar’s Civil Partnership wedding at Hever Castle in Edenbridge, Kent.  Such a glorious castle with magnificent grounds and most perfect for a wedding backdrop.  In the early 1500s the Bullen family bought the castle and added a Tudor dwelling within the walls and so it became the childhood home of its most famous inhabitant, Anne Boleyn.  I arrived at 10.30am, with a 10 hour coverage it was going to be a full on day.  Sam and Fariar where in rooms opposite each other which made it very easy to flit from one to the other without the risk of missing anything.  Family and guests were so cheerful, really embracing this magical day, with lots of tears from men and women captured on camera!

Of course the part of the day which I was greatly looking forward to was the romantic couple pictures, with all of the glorious grounds, walkways, gardens and stonework, it was blooming with photographic opportunity.

As the evening drew to a close, just before the first dance, I whisked the couple away for 10 minutes for some romantic and fun night shots, finishing with fireworks blazing in the sky behind the newly weds.  All in all a great day and I hope you will enjoy this collection of images.
