Amy & Nathan’s Wedding Day – Chilston Manor Hotel, Maidstone

Saturday 27th January, a winter wedding…

So my first wedding of 2012 and it’s with the lovely Amy and Nathan.  A civil ceremony held at the Chilston Manor Park Hotel. Set back from the tree-lined lanes of Kent, the manor house at Chilston Park is a unique Grade 1 listed property, set within 22 acres of rural parkland in the heart of the Garden of England.

I have photographed many weddings now at the Chilston and every time I discover new photographic opportunities, and today was no exception!

The day was crisp, with a bright blue sky and when I arrived the bridesmaids welcomed me in with beaming smiles.  Amy was incredibly calm, with everything in hand and under control.  After welcoming hugs with the family I took some time to photograph the dress, shoes and other details.  The day progressed beautifully with friends and family really embracing the joyous celebratory day.

I covered 10 hours with Amy and Nathan which enabled me to take pictures of every special moment open to me.  Amy was also more than happy to participate with some bridal portraiture which was great fun.  This was a lovely day with a gorgeous couple and warm well humoured guests, all in all a fabulous day!  I hope you enjoy the gallery….

Amy & Nathan’s Testimonial

“Hi Joanne,

Just a few kind words and a huge thank you for your wonderful work on making our special day even more amazing and capturing all our precious moments.
From the moment you arrived you got stuck in and got the images of things that i missed among the busy schedule of a bride ha-ha! From the very small details (like my primark flip flops for sore feet in the evening) to the stunning bride & groom shots!
Now we have received the images we realised just how many shots you got we don’t think there was a person you missed.

We didn’t have many ‘group’ shots but we are glad we didn’t spend loads of time getting these as the natural shots you captured of people are so much better then the posed shots where people felt uncomfortable.

When we first met you on our meeting you said don’t worry if we saw you in bushes or on the floor to get the pictures, we did think you was joking, then when you took Nathan & i down to the lake we realised just how serious you was when you said that comment.

Your techniques with the kids (& my father) were brilliant!…..we all go round saying ‘stinky pinky’ now ha-ha!

Thank you so much we really can’t say that enough. The pictures are what you have to look back on as memories of your big day, to show people through the years and we can truly say we have the best memories imaginable on print to show off to all our friends & family, present and in the future!

Great work and can’t wait for our next bookings!

Amy & Nathan”
