Hello, welcome and thank you for visiting my website!

I have truly been captivated by the world of photography since the young age of twelve.  At that time, I was using a Zenith camera, with untold numbers of macros and filters! Now at the age of 39 I own an extensive photography business that specialises in Wedding Photography, Children/Family Portraiture and Commercial Enterprise.

Before starting my business, my career was very varied, spanning from sales and retail to graphic design. However I wanted to pursue my true passion of photography. Thus, I began Joanne Collins Photography in 2008. I began by photographing children and families, but my portfolio grew rapidly to incorporate weddings, commercial, fine art and more! Almost all of my work comes from recommendations, which I am happy to say, speaks for itself!  I currently cover many South East Wedding Venues including Eastwell Manor, The Lime Wood Hotel, Leeds Castle and more.  I run my business from my home town in Canterbury, Kent.

In my spare time I love spending time with my 3 gorgeous boys, 13 year old twins and a 15 year old.  My eldest, when not participating is some sporting activity is partial to some photography and I am proud to say that he photographed all of my biography pictures for me.  I also love to travel, cook and am currently learning the fine art of golf.

My style embraces mainly reportage photography, with the inclusion of some traditionally set pictures.  However I would say that recording unexpected spontaneous moments and capturing people’s fabulous expressions (which tell a thousand words!!!) generates the most amazing emotions for everyone!

I aim to deliver beautiful, natural and classic photos as well as dramatic, stylised, contemporary portraiture… with both styles reflecting real character and true personality.  What makes my photography unique is my creative use of perspective and space, as well as my ability to work well with you, my client.  I would say that my people skills are just as important as my technical skills and I unite the two to deliver magical, smile evoking pictures for you to treasure forever.
